🏆 Logichem Wins the SIMEI Green Innovation Award 2026

We’re proud to share that our GoLo™ dealcoholisation system with integrated Heat Pump has been recognised for rethinking how dealcoholisation uses energy. One Heat Pump does the work of both a boiler and a chiller. That means no fossil-fuel boiler at all and the whole process runs on electricity.

And it’s not just on paper. The system is already running at commercial scale in Australia, where it’s delivering more than 60% primary energy savings compared with a conventional steam-driven system, while still reducing alcohol to below 0.05% ABV in a single pass and preserving the flavour and quality of the product.

This award is the result of more than a decade of GoLo™ development, and of the trust of Aaron Milne from Low and No Beverages who installed the first Heat Pump unit and helped prove the concept in real production. A big thank you to them, Schalk Pienaar – who developed the technology, our team – who made it a reality, and to SIMEI for recognising a more sustainable way to make low and no-alcohol beverages.
